1-15 = 2t - 11

-14= 2t-11

move -11 to the other side

sign changes from -11 to +11

-14+11= 2t-11+11

-14+11= 2t

-3= 2t

divide both sides by 2 to get t by itself

-3/2= 2t/2

Answer:

t= -3/2 , t= -1.5 and t= -1 1/2

answer: t=-3/2
step-by-step:
okay so in order to do this problem, it’s best if you combine the 1 and -15 into -14

-14=2t-11

next, you wanna add 11 to both sides to get rid of the eleven on the right

-14+11=2t-11+11

and that makes

-3=2t
(-14+11=-3 and 2t-11+11=2t)

now you want to divide each side by 2
-3/2=2t/2

2t/2=t so that makes your final answer t=-3/2
