The way states in Africa developed and changed over time:

As a result of population growth, countries in Africa are developing and changing overtime. Africa's 1.1 billion people are likely to double by 2050, and therefore more than 80 Percent of that rise will happen in cities, particularly slums. Africa is not ready for this metropolitan blast.

By 2025, according to McKinsey, there will be 100 African cities with far more than one million residents. This is double as much as it is in Latin America. Running out of control urbanization and an increasing youth belly button, with most teenagers lacking steady job prospects, is a time bomb. Some 70% of African people are already under 30 of their age. Young people are 20 percent of the population, 40 percent workers and 60 percent jobless.
