Answer:

x = 12

Explanation:

(1)/(2) x + 3 =
(2)/(3) x + 1

multiply through by 6 ( the LCM of 2 and 3 ) to clear the fractions

3x + 18 = 4x + 6 ( subtract 3x from both sides )

18 = x + 6 ( subtract 6 from both sides )

12 = x
