slope = -5 ÷ 4

Explanation:

The equation of line can be written as,

y = mx + c

where, m is slope

and c is intercept of line.

So, transforming the given equation in above standard equation.

5x + 4y - 1 = 0

⇒ 4y = -5x + 1


y = (-5)/(4)x +(1)/(4)

Now comparing this equation with standard equation. We get,


m =(-5)/(4)

and
c = (1)/(4)

Hence, Slope =
m =(-5)/(4)
