Two foreces act on a block of mass 4.5 kg resting on

africtionless, horizontal surface, as shown. The horizontal force
is3.7 N; The other force of 5.9 N acts at an angle of 43 degrees
fromthe horizontal. what is the magnitude of the acceleration of
theblock?

Answer:
=(8.014)/(4.5)=1.78 m/s^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

mass of block(m)=4.5 kg

Horizontal force(
F_h)=3.7 N

another force F at angle of
43^(\circ)

if F is pulling Block then

Net Normal reaction=mg-Fsin43=40.12 N

Net Force in Horizontal direction =3.7+Fcos43

=3.7+4.31=8.014 N

thus Net acceleration is a
=(8.014)/(4.5)=1.78 m/s^2
