The shades of blue often mean sadness and emptiness just like how the phrase "Are you feeling blue?" Means are you sad? It wouldn't be option A because the color might show sadness but the table is irrelevant in this picture. It wouldn't be option C because it doesn't compare to two at all based on the mans facial expressions. It also wouldn't be option D because it also doesn't mean he is sad but it does mean he is exhausted or tired.
