I REALLY NEED HELP

Suppose that the length of a rectangle is 4 times the width. If the area is 900 square feet, then what is the width of the rectangle, in feet?

Answer:

w= 15

l= 60

Explanation:

the formula of a rectangle is A=wl

lets put the width as x

and the length 4x

now we put them into the equation

900= x(4x)

900= 4x^2

square it:

900= 4x^2

30= 2x

devide by 2

30/2 = 2x/2

15=x so thats the width and the length is 60
