What is the solution to the equation 3(x - 1) – 2(2x + 1) = 8(x - 1)?

3(x-1)-2•(2x+1)=8(x-1)
3x-3-4x+2=8x-8
3x-3-4x+2-8x+8=0
-9x+7=0
-9x=-7
x= 7/9
