This is an opinion question so I'm going to give both sides.

If you said yes:

Pros of keeping it:

The United States maintained independence.

Americans could move around freely.

Each state could have a global influence.

There was no threat of political polarization.

Domestic and foreign trade was encouraged.

It allowed people to get over their differences.

Created a system of government similar to tribal law.

If you said no:

Cons of keeping it:

The central government was minimal.

There was no authority regarding commerce.

There was no national authority to impose laws.

There was no fair way to raise money.

Enslaved people were looked at as a commodity.

There were too many forms of currency.

The British took advantage of the Articles of Confederation.

It became impossible for the U.S. to repay its debt.

Land claims almost caused the civil wars.

There was no set system of crime and punishment.
