Explanation:

There is an infinite number of possibilities. However, I suspect "they" are thinking of integral coordinates and equally spaced points.

In that case, you could move up nine units to (5, 2).

This puts eight points between A and B. I have numbered them in the diagram below.

Any point on a circle with radius 9 and centred at (5, -7) is 9 units from A, but only these four points have integral coordinates for themselves and for the points in between:

Up from A: (5, 2)

To the right: (14, -7)

Down from A: (5, -16)

To the left: (-4, -7)
