Answer:

x-2y-8=0

Explanation:

The equation of line is given by the relation

y-y1=m(x-x1)

where m is the slope

now, given x1=-4 and y1=-6 and the slope is 1/2.

substitute into the equation to get

y+6=1/2(x+4)

multiplying through with the L.C.M

which is 2

2(y+6)=1/2×2(x+4)

2y+12=x+4

making x the subject

x= 2y+8 hence the equation of the line is x-2y-8 =0
