Find the area of the bedroom floor

The area is in the shape of rectangle

so


A=(11.4)(12.5)=142.5\ ft^2

Remember that the bedroom floor will be painted with two coats of paint

so

Multiply the area by two


A=(2)142.5=285\ ft^2

A gallon of paint will cover approximately 150 square feet


285\ ft^2 > 150\ ft^2

therefore

One gallon of paint is not enough to paint the bedroom floor
