-3(y+3)=2y+3

Mutiply the bracket by -3

(-3)(y)= -3y

(-3)(3)= -9

-3y-9= 2y+3

Move -9 to the other side

Sign changes from -9 to +9

-3y-9+9= 2y+3+9

-3y= 2y+3+9

-3y= 2y+12

Move 2y to the other side

Sign changes from +2y to -2y

-3y-2y= 2y-2y+12

-3y-2y=12

-5y= 12

Divide both sides by -5

-5y/-5= 12/-5

Answer:

Answer:

y = -2 2/5

Explanation:

-3(y+3)=2y+3

-3y - 9 = 2y + 3

-3y - 2y = 3 + 9

-5y = 12

y = 12/-5 = -12/5 = - 2 2/5
