Explanation:

The slope is a in the equation y= ax +b

The equation is -8y = -12x +9 -7 → -8y = -12x +2

When we make this possitive by multiplying by -1 the equation will be

8y= 12x -2

To get Y we have to divide by 8

y= 12/8 x - 2/8

The slope is 12/8 or if we simplify it 3/2
