I need help ASAP, The question is to Evaluate x^2-2y when x=4 and y=1, I don't understand at all helppp.

Answer:

14

Explanation:

plug in the values for x and y

if x = 4 then we have 4²- 2y

then it also says y = 1 so we now have 4²- 2(1)

4 squared is 16 and 2 times 1 is 2

16 - 2= 14
