Answer:

x(2)-3=y

Step-by-step explanation: take 7 times 2 and get 14, minus 3=11. 8*2=16 -3=13 and so forth.

Answer:

Y does not vary directly with x

Explanation:

Direct proportion: When x is directly proportional to y

y\propto x

y=kx

k=Proportionality constant

k=(y)/(x)

When x is directly proportional to y then k remain constant.

x=7 and y=11

Then ,
k=(11)/(7)=1.6

x=8 and x=13

k=(13)/(8)=1.6

x=9 and y=15

k=(15)/(9)=1.7

x=10 and y=17

k=(17)/(10)=1.7

Value of k does not remain constant .Therefore, y does not vary directly with x.
