NEED ASAP PLEASE

15. PET SHELTERS Henry works at a pet shelter after school. He purchases a large
package or dog treats. He sets aside 10 treats and distributes the rest equally
among the 15 dogs in the shelter. If each dog received 4 treats, write and some
an equation to find the number of treats t that were in the original package.

Explanation:

First you set aside the 10 and that is the start of your equation.

Then you add a plus to separate the ten from the rest of your equation.

Because each dog gets 4 treats, you set aside the 4 and then you substitute the 15 dogs with an X.

Now you have 10+4x

To get the total, simply solve the equation yourself by substituting the 15 back in.

10+4(15)=?

4(15)=60

60+10=70

So, 10+4(15)=70

Now, to generalize your equation simply take away the 15 and you end up with the solution

10+4x=70
