A. Women can be carriers because they can be heterozygous for the trait

Some times, if it's a recessive trait, women can carry it but not be affected by it.

B. X-linked traits are more common in men

Men only have one X gen, if it's a recessive trait and men inherit it will be affected by it.

C. Males are never carriers since they only receive one X chromosome

True. Because what we explain in option B, men can't be carriers only been affected by it.

D. Males inherit X-linked traits from their fathers

From its mother, if it's a carrier.

E. Women only have to have one affected gene to show the trait

Only if it's a dominant trait. If it's a recessive one, to show it, it would need two affected genes.
