The domain is the all the possible inputs of the function.

We need to find the span of the function on the horizontal axis.

Here the function start at -8 and ends at 8.

So the domain is [-8,8].

We use brackets because -8 and 8 is defined over the domain.

The range is all the possible outputs.

We need to find the span of the function in the vertical axis

The function lowest point is -4 and the highest point is 7.

So the range is [-4,7].

To find whether this graph is a function, draw multiple vertical lines. If the lines intersect the curve more than once, then this curve is not a function

Here this curve is a function because all the lines only intersect the curve once.

So the answer is yes.
