First continental congress took place on September 5, 1774 were representatives of all the colonies but excluding Georgia ( because it was dependent on British for support of military forces) met in Philadelphia and their purpose was to go against the rule of the colonist, British.
It was a very important step for the thirteen colonies which were under the control of the authority of British colonist where they had decided to go against the colonist and boycott the goods manufactured by the British.
