Imagine that a basketball is placed at the red free throw line (as shown above). The distance from the line to the edge of

the court is 4 meters. The height of the basket is 3 meters. If the ball were to move from the floor to the basket in a
straight line, how far would it travel? Consider the following image to help you.

Answer:

My answer is D) 12m

This is because half of the court is 14.25m and half of that is 7.1 m. That is where the free throw line is. But the basket is 3 meters tall. So.. the logical math doesn't really add up. So I would also choose C).

Thats all i can do i cant give you the exact answer but i can narrow it down 50/50. Unless i'm completely wrong. Sorry.
