A group of middle school students were given a short course in speed-reading. The instructor was curious if a monetary incentive would influence performance on a reading test taken at the end of the course. Half of the students were offered 5$ for obtaining a certain level of performance on the test, the other half were not offered money. Whats the experimental group.

Answer: Growth Mindset Short Course Test

Step-by-step explanation: That would be a growth mindset short course test. If the instructor is curious about their knowledge it would mean that he would want to see the half with $5 what they know and the other half with no $5 what they don't know and what they know already.

This is a type of controlled scientific experiment in which individuals are divided into two groups. The control group is the student who receives no incentive, while the experimental group is the $ 5 incentive group. At the end of the experiment, the teacher (who acts in this case as a researcher) may confirm or reject his hypothesis that the incentive is beneficial to student performance.
