UP TO 50 POINTS!! PLEASE HELP--Why is the Thirty Years’ War significant? Why was it difficult to negotiate a treaty to end the Thirty Years’ War?

The Thirty Years' War significantly changed the European power/social structure. Germany was divided into many territories and won sovereignty despite opposition, which put restrictions on the power of the Roman Empire. Additionally, disease and famine killed off a lot of the population and really harmed the economy.
