A survey of 2,000 doctors showed that an average of 3 out of 5 doctors use brand x aspirin. How many doctors use brand x aspirin? (Hint: Solve for X).

X is the number of doctors using x aspiring

There is necessary an equation:

If 3 of 5 doctors use aspiring, how many from 2000 use aspiring:

Equation:

3= X

5 2000

lets clear X

Step 1: There is not sum or rest next to X. There is a division in the X, that number has to be moved to the other side of the equal sign but multiply the numbers.

2000*(3/5)=X

Now you have the X alone.

Lets do the formula:

1200=X

Now you have the numbers of doctors that use x aspiring.
