Answer: The HTML and XHTML are the markup languages that has some differences that are as follows:-

  • HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) was developed in year 1993 and XHTML(Extensible Hyper Text Markup Language) got developed in year 2000.
  • HTML is supposed to have less expressive feature as compared with XHTML which is more expressive.
  • HTML persist of not being case sensitive in nature whereas the XHTML has the case sensitivity in nature.
  • HTML got extended from the SGML whereas XHTML is the combination of the HTML and XML.
