Explanation:

Current wage rate for Brian = $45 per day

number of days Brain is working = 24

Total earning in a month = $45 x 24 = $ 1080

Total increment = 10% of $45

= 0.10 x $45 = $4.5

New wage rate for Brain = $45=$4.5= $49.5

No. of working days = 24

New earning per month = $49.4 x 24 = $1188

Total increment in the earning = $1188- $ 1080

= $108
