Two angles are complementary. One angle is 8 times as large as the other. Find the number of degrees in each angle.

Answer:

10 and 80

Explanation:

let the first angle be=x,

second angle=8x

x+8x=90°(complimentary angle)

9x=90

x= 10°

therefore

x=10°

8x= 8*10° = 80°
