1.Solidification of rocks occurs when magma is arriving to the surfaceo or it has arrived, because magma is very hot (~1200°C) and the surface temperature is very cold, then it becomes solid, as a rock with its minerals cristalized)

2. Weathering is when the rock is damaged by the atmospheric conditions, principaly water, there are three types of weathering, chemical, physical and biological. It breaks down the rock and it becomes sediments.

3. Lithification occurs after accumulation of sediments because of the pression it makes over older rock beds. This pressure make sediments become rocks.

4. Heat and pressure are the conditions in the deep and it generates changes on rocks, creating a metamorphism process which result is a metamorphic rock.

Molten rocks are like the next step after metamorphism, they melt when they achive a very high temperature and pressure (deep).
