Answer: Enzyme bind to the substrate and increase the reaction rate so catalyze a reaction.

Explanation: Enzymes are the protein molecules and act as a catalyst for a reaction. Enzymes bind to the substrate. A substrate is the reactant molecule of a reaction.

The cycle of enzyme catalysis reaction is as follows :

1. Cycle starts with the binding of enzyme to the substrate, binding takes place at the active site of enzyme.

2. When substrate perfectly fits in active site of enzyme , the binding of enzyme and substrate results in the formation of enzyme-substrate complex.

3. As result of which final product is formed at the end of the reaction.
