A storage area network is the dedicated network or sub-network which basically contain high speed. This network is use to enhance the many storage devices like optical jukeboxes and tape library. This type of devices are basically attached to the operating system in the network.

Storage area network (SAN) moves the storage resources to the user network and it is the high performance network.

manages various type of tiers and implement the storage virtualization in the network.
