i am missing the ball most likely because im not keeping my eye on it.

A) PROBLEM (or question)

B) HYPOTHESIS(look for terms suggesting a solution, answer, or explanation, eg. "because", "caused by...", ect., AND terms of uncertainty, eg. "most likely", "probably", "i think", ect.)

C) TEST (look for something done to check the hypothesis)

D) PREDICTION (look for phrases like "if....then....", "based on...., should be able to...")

Answer:

I Believe the answer is A

due to B being suggesting a solution, C testing for something, D he or she predicting things and

A sounds the most reasonable choice because "I am missing the ball most likely because I'm not keeping my eye on it." just matches the sentence it is a problem and could later maybe if rephrased be a question as well.

Answer: B) HYPOTHESIS

Step-by-step explanation:

A hypothesis is a provisional affirmation about the connection between two or more variables.

For this example, the problem would be "I am missing the ball". The hypothesis would be that the reason behind me missing the ball is that I am not keeping my eyes on it.

A way to test the hypothesis would be to compare the results with and without keeping sight of the ball. Based on the hypothesis, the prediction would be: If I keep my eyes on the ball, I will not miss it, whereas if I loose sight of the ball I will miss it.
