The two angles are 70° and 110°

Explanation:

Let the two angles be x and y be two angles

As they are supplement angles

x+y=180--(A)

The angle measures 40° more than the measure of its supplement angle

Hence

x=y+40

x-y=0 --(B)

adding A and B

2x=220

Dividing both sides by 2 we get

x=110

Hence putting this value in (A )

110+y=180

y=180-110

y=70
