X would equal -8 which would cancel that out and the other x would equal -11 to cancel that out then 0 time 0 equals 0

So x+8 multiplies to x + 11 and everything is equal to 0. Anything times 0 is 0, so if we get just one side equal to 0, it will multiply to the other side and make it 0. So x = -8
