Explanation:

-3⁄7[-7x + 14y = -14] ↷

{3x - 6y = 6

{-3x + 7y = -3

y = 3 [Plug this back into both equations to get an x-value of 8]; 8 = x

So, using the Elimination Method, I decided to eliminate the x's by multiplying the top equation by -3⁄7 to end up with 3x, so I can cancel that with -3x in the bottom equation [additive inverses ALWAYS result in zero], and to be genuine, it really does not matter which variable you choose to eliminate.
