Answer:

A. The interquartile range (IQR) for town A is 20 and it is greater than town B which has IQR = 10.

Explanation:

Interquartile range measures the skewness using 50% of the data. It is the difference between the third quartile and the first quartile.

Also, the end points of box plot shows the First and Third Quartile.

Thus Town A has First Quartile = 20

Third Quartile = 40

⇒ IQR = 40 - 20 = 20

and, Town B has First Quartile = 35

Third Quartile = 45

⇒ IQR = 45 - 35 = 10

Also, Standard deviation can't be calculate using Box- Plot.

Thus, Option A is the only correct option.
