The Plague or Black Death symptoms were:

Fever

Fatigue

Headache

Gangrene (death of the tissues)

Abdominal pain associated with vomiting and diarrhea

Bleeding from

Swollen lymph nodes (buboes)

Doctors were not qualified to treat patients with the Plague infectious disease. In consequence, people incurred in the following practices:

Eating minerals such as arsenic

Drinking vinegar

Bloodletting

Applying herbs directly on the skin

Standing next to a fire to force out the fever

Cutting pigeons and or snake open and brushing them on the patient's skin

Burning herbs to purify the air
