b. Polar hydrogen bond - They are polar in nature due to the unequal sharing of the electrons , hydrogen has a partial positive charge and the oxygen has a partial negative charge .

The bonds that are covalent in nature are responsible for a new molecule formation , but hydrogen bonds can not .

c. According to the balanced chemical equation , i.e. ,

1 O₂ + 2 H₂ → 2 H₂O

One molecule of oxygen reacts with two molecules of hydrogen to give the product as water .
