There is much argumentation done by people its SWS(slow wave sleep) is very important for creativity but there is another who argued that REM sleep also plays a crucial part in creativity and memory, but some say its both plays a very important part in creativity and memories. Non REM sleep extracts the concepts and REM sleep connects all the activity . Crucially both are inter-dependent to each other because a sleep cycle goes every night through both process REM sleep and nonREM sleep which takes 90 minutes per cycle. Over the night the hippo-campus and neo-cortex both sync and desync the process which adds or subtract the connection and repeat itself.
