I would say some major changes that affected the society included: laws concerning the owning of land, along with inheritance, the style of government, and British churches. British churches were destroying their roots to make their own American clergy. However, some stuff stayed the same. This includes women's rights, along with their effect on society. On top of that, numerous African Americans still had the role as slaves.
