Given:

Birth rate of Giraffes = 28

Death rate of Giraffes = 39

To find:

Population growth rate of Giraffe population

Formula to be used:

Population growth rate = Birth rate – Death rate

Calculation:

Population growth rate = Birth rate – Death rate

Population growth rate = 28-39

Population growth rate = 11

Percentage of growth rate
=(11)/(100)=0.11 \%

Solution:

From the above calculation it can be inferred that the growth rate of the giraffe population is 0.11%.
