A mother is to give her child 10 ccs of medicine every

6 hours. Unfortunately, she lost the syringe provided
with the liquid medicine. She calls your clinic for help.
How much medicine in teaspoons can you instruct

Answer:

See below in bold.

Explanation:

1 teaspoon holds 5 ccs so that is 2 teaspoons per dose.

Answer:

8 spoons per day have to be given.

Explanation:

A mother has to give her child amount of medicine = 10 cc

Since 1 cc of medicine = 1 teaspoon

Therefore, 10 cc medicine = 2 tablespoon

Since mother has to to give her child 10 cc 6 hourly, this means 6 hourly 2 table spoons of medicine is recommended.

Therefore, per day number of spoons to be given = 4×2

= 8 spoons.
