Answer:

y = -1⅓x + 3⅓

Explanation:

4x + 3y = -5

3y = -4x - 5 [Move -4x to the right side of the equivalence symbol]

y = -1⅓x - 1⅔ [Divide everything by 3]

Rate of change [Slope]

6 = -1⅓[-2] + b

2

3⅓ = b

Parallel lines have SIMILAR RATE OF CHANGES [SLOPES].

**I have a video that explains how to find y-intercepts, Perpendicular Equations, and Parallel Equations. These words are all in the title. I encourage you to watch the video and gain alot more knowledge from it, so you can better understand the concept. It is the second longest.
