Answer:

The answer is 12 ounces.

Explanation:

In order to determine the answer, we have to know about directly proportional.

A directly proportional is when two variables are increased at the same time. Both variables have a relation, expressed by a fraction. The fraction is called "constant of proportionality".

In this case, we have:

(oil)/(gasoline)=(6)/(16)=(3)/(8)

We always have to fulfil this relation.

Thus, for x: ounces of oil for 32 gallons of gasoline.

(x)/(32)=(3)/(8)\\  \\x=(3*32)/(8) \\x=12

Finally, the amount of oil for 32 gallons of gasoline is 12 ounces.
