First you would multiple 2 with what’s in the parentheses so

6x-14= -3x+4

And then you have to get the x on the same side so you’d have to add 3x to the other side

9x-14=4

And you want to get the x alone so you’d add 14 to the other side

9x=18

And then you divide both sides by 9

X=2
