Question -:

Find an expression which represents the sum of (10x+10) and (7x+10) in simplest terms

Explanation -:

We have to find the sum of two binomial.

We can only add binomials if they have the same variable and the same exponent.

\begin{array}{cc} \small \rm{10x + 10} \\ \small\rm {\underline {7x + 10 }} \\ \small\sf 17x + 20\end{array}

Required sum = 17x + 20

Additional Information -:

Monomial : An algebric expression containing 1 term only.

Example : 4x, 34.

Binomial : An algebric expression containing 2 terms.

Example : 4x + 34 , 29y - 4.

Trinomial : An algebric expression containing 3 terms.

Example : 4x + 34 - 29y.
