Hence

x + y = 90 -------------(A)

Also given that x - y = 6 ---------------(B)

Adding A and B

2x= 96

dividing both sides by 2 we get

x = 48

Putting this value in equation B and solving for y

48-y=6

y=48-6

y=42

Hence the measurement of the two angles are

48° and 42°
