D, because you go up 7 and over 2. Slope is rise(up) over run(over) so 7 would be on top of 2. The y-intercept is when x equals 0 and when x is 0 so is y, so you don’t add the 0. Hope this is a good explanation!

Answer:

D

Explanation:

First let's notice a couple things:

  1. All the answers are in y = mx + b form
  2. Two of the answers don't have a value for b
  3. Pretty much all of the answers have a different m value

So let's go in order of our realizations.

Let's start with figuring out what b is. By simply looking at the graph, we can see that b = 0, because the line starts at (0, 0). Remember that b is when the line crosses the y axis, and our y value at x = 0 is 0.

This crosses out A and B.

Now let's find m, aka the slope. We can figure this out using the slope formula:

m=(y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1)) \\m=(14-7)/(4-2) \\m=(7)/(2)

Awesome! So we've figured out that m = 7/2. This means our answer has to be D.
