Answer: Option (E) is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's assume the population to be "x"

∴ Consumption of Fish = x

Poultry consumption = x

After Increase in 1989

Population = x + 0.06x = 1.06x

Fish = x + 0.045x = 1.045x

Poultry = x + 0.09x = 1.09x

So per capita consumption of fish in 1980 =
(x)/(x) = 1

For year 1989 =
(1.045x)/(1.06x) <1

Therefore, the consumption of fish decreases.
