∴ LN = LM + MN

⇒ LN = (10x + 8) + (5x - 4)

⇒ LN = 15x + 4

Also it is given that, LN = 12x + 16

Thus, 16x + 4 = 12x + 16

⇒ 4x = 12

⇒ x = 3

So, LN = 12 × 3 + 16

LN = 64 units
