Answer:

(12,12)

Explanation:

For the x coordinate you add 4 to 8, and get 12.

For the y coordinate you subtract 8 from 20 to get 12.

So it would read (x + 4, y -8) -> (12,12)

Answer:

Pre image ( 12 , 12)

Explanation:

Given : Use ordered pair rule(x,y) (x-4,y+8) .

To find : find the pre image of (8,20)

Solution : We have given (x,y) →→(x-4,y+8) .

Let the pre image (x -4 ,y + 8 )

Post image ( 8 ,20 )

By the Transformation rule

(x-4,y+8) →→ ( 8 ,20 )

x - 4 = 8

On adding both sides by 4

x = 12.

y + 8 = 20

On subtracting both sides by 8

y = 20 -8

y = 12.

Pre image ( 12 , 12)

Therefore, Pre image ( 12 , 12)
